Business Development Representative
Arrow Electronics is a leading provider of technology solutions, and they are seeking a Business Development Representative to drive demand creation and revenue growth. This role involves developing and executing selling strategies to expand Altera FPGA adoption within high-growth vertical markets and collaborating with sales teams to manage opportunities effectively.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute regional demand creation strategies to increase Altera FPGA penetration in high-growth vertical markets and priority segmentsIdentify and prioritize target accounts, applications, and programs aligned with Altera’s growth objectivesDrive new design-in activity by influencing customer architecture decisions early in the design cycleCollaborate with Arrow FAEs and FSRs on top opportunity conversion with a focus on closing commercial or technical barriers to complete the salePartner with Branch FAEs and FSRs to align on account strategies, target opportunities, and execution plansWork directly with Altera regional and corporate sales teams to coordinate selling strategies, prioritize opportunities, and align on customer engagement plansAct as a liaison between Arrow field teams and Altera sales to ensure consistent messaging and effective executionSupport FAEs in advancing and managing top opportunities, including opportunity strategy and customer engagement planningMaintain visibility into top regional opportunities and ensure accurate, timely updates in Arrow systemsRegularly communicate priority opportunities, pipeline status, and key risks to Altera sales and management teamsParticipate in joint Arrow–Altera opportunity reviews as requiredSkillsProven experience in semiconductor sales, business development, or technical salesStrong understanding of the electronics distribution and customer design environmentExperience working cross-functionally with sales, applications engineering, and supplier partnersDemonstrated ability to develop and execute regional growth strategiesComfortable in a customer-facing role requiring both technical and commercial influenceStrong sales and business development acumenExcellent communication and relationship-building skillsAbility to manage multiple opportunities across accounts and vertical marketsResults-driven and comfortable operating in a matrixed organizationWillingness to travel within the assigned regionA degree or third level diploma in electrical/electronic engineering, computer science or other technical discipline that provides the foundation needed for success in this roleThis role will perform work covered by International Traffic in Arms Regulations.
