They are seeking a Business Development Representative to drive the company’s growth by engaging with prospects, qualifying leads, and collaborating with partners to expand their reach.ResponsibilitiesConduct high-volume outreach through cold calls, emails, and social media to identify and qualify leadsFollow up on marketing-generated leads to assess fit and potential for Mimecast’s solutionsWork closely with reseller partners to uncover joint opportunities and expand our reachProfile target accounts, identify decision-makers and stakeholders, and understand their pain points to tailor your outreachEngage prospects to conduct initial needs analysis, understand their requirements, and assess alignment with Mimecast’s solutionsClearly articulate Mimecast’s value proposition to secure meetings and seamlessly hand off qualified leads to our Account Executives (AEs)Maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads and ensure accurate tracking of all activities in our CRM systemSchedule qualified meetings with the appropriate sales representatives or Account Executives to progress opportunitiesKeep up with industry trends, customer needs, and product developments to refine your outreach strategies effectivelyWork closely with Account Executives, Marketing teams, and Channel Partners to ensure alignment on strategic initiatives and a smooth lead handoff processSkillsA Sales-Driven Mindset: You're a self-starter who's excited to exceed targets and grow your career in salesStrong Communication Skills: You can engage prospects with confidence, clearly articulate value propositions, and adapt your approach to different audiencesResilience & Adaptability: You're not afraid of rejection and can pivot your messaging and strategy based on feedback or evolving conditionsTech-Savvy: Familiarity with sales tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator, CRM systems, and automation platforms is a plusOrganized & Detail-Oriented: You have strong time management skills and can juggle multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detailAnalytical Skills: You're capable of conducting thorough needs analysis, identifying customer pain points, and qualifying opportunities effectivelyContinuous Learning: You're committed to learning and staying updated on product developments, industry trends, and feedback to improve your prospecting skillsCollaboration Skills: You thrive in a team environment and can work effectively with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, and Channel PartnersCompany OverviewMimecast is a SaaS-based email management platform enabling companies to administer business communications and data.
