Business Development Rep

The Business Development Representative is responsible for generating a pipeline through leads and opportunities within assigned commercial accounts, partnering with the sales team to create relationships and identify customer needs. Responsibilities Outbound identification/development and inbound follow-up on of land and expand opportunities within assigned accounts Assigned to multiple sellers to support their accounts May be dedicated to a subset of accounts (e.g., Fed, Sled, OEM) Partner with the sales team to create relationships with existing customers, identifying their potential needs and assist in developing a business case Move solid leads through the funnel, connecting them to a salesperson, and arranging in-person meetings, emails, or phone calls Maintain a pipeline of early-stage leads Maintain activities and related data in CRM system (Salesforce) Perform regular follow-up calls or emails and facilitate communication with existing customers to ensure their satisfaction and identify new potential needs Attend (where necessary) networking events, trade shows, webinars etc. to build relationships and generate leads Achieve goals by qualifying leads and identifying needs that can be addressed by Qlik products; passes lead to appropriate sales resources Incorporate feedback from the Demand Center leaders and sales team to review and revise qualification criteria over time Skills 1 – 3 years experience in business development, sales or related field experience Bachelor's degree Experience researching, account planning, and prospecting into a list of accounts Proven track record of achieving sales metrics and consistent achievement of year-over-year quota attainment Benefits Comprehensive benefits, including - but not limited to - medical, dental, and vision coverage Life and AD&D Short and long-term disability coverage Paid time off Paid parental / maternity leave Participation in a 401(k) program that includes company match Many other additional voluntary benefits Company Overview Qlik is a data analytics platform that helps businesses make better decisions through advanced data integration, quality, and analytics.
