DESCRIPTION We are seeking a Business Development Manager to drive strategic growth within our Bulk Elemental Analysis business across EMEA. This role is designed to build and scale new growth engines, with a strong focus on market creation and expansion beyond traditional segments. You will develop high-potential markets for emerging technologies such as LALI-TOF-MS (Exum Massbox), while expanding XRF/XRD adoption beyond core industries including metals, cement, and mining. You will lead market development initiatives in adjacent segments such as Materials Science, Geosciences, and Academia, while also contributing to the growth of automation solutions within established markets. Working at the intersection of commercial strategy and technical innovation, you will identify new opportunities, build strategic partnerships, and translate market insights into impactful go-to-market strategies. This highly visible role requires strong cross-functional collaboration across regions, business units, and leadership. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Build and expand strategic relationships with senior decision-makers to unlock new business opportunities - Identify and prioritize short- and long-term growth opportunities across established and emerging markets - Develop and execute targeted go-to-market strategies, integrating products, services, and software into customer-centric workflow solutions - Drive adoption of new technologies (e.g., LALI-TOF-MS) in non-traditional and high-growth segments - Accelerate growth in key markets including Materials Science, Academia, and Industrial sectors - Collaborate closely with product management, applications, and commercial teams to define and execute market strategies - Translate market insights into actionable improvements in portfolio positioning, pricing, and commercial programs - Deliver against lead generation and bookings targets on a quarterly and annual basis - Represent the Bulk Elemental Analysis business with internal stakeholders, including Division and Corporate teams - Partner with regional leadership (EMEA and Americas) to align and scale growth strategies globally REQUIREMENTS - Advanced degree with 6+ years, or Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience in business development or commercial roles within scientific or technical industries - Preferred background in Materials Science, Chemistry, Engineering, or related fields - Proven track record in developing and executing strategic growth plans and achieving revenue targets - Strong understanding of customer workflows and industry trends in relevant market segments - Demonstrated ability to operate in complex, cross-functional environments and influence stakeholders without direct authority - Strong business acumen, including value proposition development, pricing strategies, and financial analysis - Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills - Fluency in English required; additional languages are a plus - Strong organizational and time management skills - Ability to travel internationally (30–40%) Why this role is exciting - Opportunity to shape and develop new markets around breakthrough technologies - High-impact role with visibility across senior leadership and global teams - Unique combination of strategy, innovation, and commercial execution - Direct contribution to long-term growth and transformation of the business
