Job Summary As a Business Development Assistant, you will be responsible for leading direct selling procedures and strategies for Southwest Business. You will identify new business opportunities, assess account performance, and provide valuable insights to account managers. This role requires a strong and diverse skillset, including excellent communication and negotiation skills, the ability to work independently, and a results-driven mindset. Key Responsibilities Prospect and qualify inbound and outbound leads through cold pitching and email campaigns, engaging clients and building rapport in a professional manner. Plan arrangements and maintain associations with qualified leads for account managers. Complete timely and accurate documentation of all sales activities in Salesforce. Meet or exceed weekly/monthly lead generation objectives. Provide customer care to Southwest Business Group and clients by responding to and managing sales requests. Participate in ad-hoc sales projects, promotions, and negotiations. Negotiate and implement corporate agreements, including Quick Rewards Business and the Meetings program. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to speak confidently in front of a crowd. The ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines. A detail-oriented and results-driven mindset, with a need to keep moving and achieving goals. A professional appearance and attitude, with the ability to maintain a positive and friendly demeanor. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Previous experience in business development, sales, or a related field. A proven track record of success in lead generation and sales. Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM software. Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
