BUSINESS DATA ANALYST III
Overview We are seeking a Business Data Analyst III to provide portfolio-level analytical support across enterprise IT programs supporting a federal customer. This role is positioned at the intersection of data analytics, business operations, and program management, and is responsible for delivering actionable insights, process improvements, and decision support to senior stakeholders. The ideal candidate is not just technically proficient, but also able to translate data into business value, support strategic planning efforts, and present and defend recommendations in a dynamic, mission-driven environment. Key Responsibilities Provide matrixed analytical support across multiple programs within an enterprise portfolio Conduct business case analyses , including cost/benefit and impact assessments Support project planning and execution tracking , including schedule, performance, and risk analysis Lead or support Business Process Reengineering (BPR) initiatives to improve operational efficiency Analyze IT performance metrics and develop dashboards, reports, and insights for leadership Develop and deliver briefings, reports, and presentations to stakeholders, including government leadership Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment across program, project, and portfolio objectives Maintain and enhance data integrity across reporting systems and tools Required Qualifications Experience: Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in business analysis, data analysis, or program/portfolio support Experience supporting federal or DoD programs preferred Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) Experience with data analysis, reporting, and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) Strong analytical skills with ability to synthesize data into actionable insights Portfolio / Enterprise Tools (Experience with one or more preferred): ServiceNow (SPM, ITSM, Workspaces) Task Management Tool (TMT) PEO Task Tracker SharePoint-based collaboration and reporting environments Core Competencies: Business case development and analytical reasoning Business Process Reengineering (BPR) Stakeholder engagement and communication Ability to present and defend findings and recommendations Required Certification Must hold at least one relevant certification from a nationally recognized authority. Candidates with one or more of the following certifications will be strongly preferred: Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA) Project Management Professional (PMP) Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) ITIL 4 Foundation DAWIA Certification Clearance Requirement: Active Tier 3 (NACLC/ANACI) / Secret clearance This position is contingent upon contract award. Employment is expected to begin upon successful award and funding of the program.
