Job Description
This is a fully remote, long-term contract opportunity with a national organization leading the charge in tolling and transportation infrastructure. The team operates at the intersection of technology, public-private partnerships, and customer experience-leveraging cutting-edge data strategy to drive smarter, faster, and more efficient mobility solutions.
They're currently seeking a Business Data Analyst with a strong hybrid background across data engineering, business systems, and analytics. This person will serve as a critical bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders-supporting digital transformation efforts through clean data pipelines, stakeholder insights, system documentation, and user training.

Contract duration: 6 months
Required Skills & Experience
• 4+ years of experience in data analysis, development, or database administration
• Advanced SQL skills and experience with relational databases (e.g. SQL Server, Oracle)
• Experience with data modeling, ETL pipelines, and data warehousing best practices
• Proven ability to gather and translate business requirements into technical deliverables
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking
• Clear, confident communicator with executive-level presentation skills
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word
• Able to work independently while navigating cross-functional priorities
Desired Skills & Experience
• Experience working in high-volume transaction environments (e.g. transportation, tolling, payments)
• Familiarity with cloud database platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
• Scripting experience in Python, R, or similar languages
• Exposure to SDLC and Agile environments
• Comfort working with external vendors or outsourced service teams

Daily Responsibilities
• Analyze and interpret large datasets to support business decisions
• Develop data validation processes and support governance initiatives
• Lead user testing, system walkthroughs, and documentation
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and digital transformation
• Translate non-technical business needs into functional data-driven solutions
• Serve as a liaison between IT, business units, and external partners
