Business Analyst (Metadata + Exception)

Exp : 12 Job Overview As a Metadata Exception : Business Analyst you will be responsible for managing and analyzing data exceptions and metadata to support business operations and decision-making processes. You will work closely with various teams to identify analyze and resolve data discrepancies ensuring the accuracy and consistency of data. Your role will also involve developing and implementing metadata management strategies improving data quality and facilitating the efficient use of data across the organization. Responsibilities Analyze business processes and requirements identify opportunities for improvement and develop strategies for implementing these improvements. Create and maintain metadata for database systems ensuring accuracy and consistency. Identify and address software and data exceptions ensuring data quality and integrity. Collaborate with various teams to ensure that the business data and reporting needs are met. Required Skills Business Analysis : The candidate must have a strong understanding of business analysis principles processes and techniques. They should be able to develop and monitor data quality metrics and ensure business data and reporting needs are met. Metadata : The candidate should have a deep understanding of metadata its applications and management. They should be able to create and maintain metadata for database systems. Exception Handling : The candidate should have experience in exception handling identifying and addressing software and data exceptions. A Bachelors degree in Business Administration Information Systems Computer Science or a related field is required. Preferred Skills Business Functions : Understanding of various business functions and processes. Data Modeling : Ability to create data models and database designs. SQL : Proficiency in SQL for querying and managing databases. Project Management : Experience in managing projects and coordinating with different teams. Communication Skills : Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Problem-Solving : Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically. Data Analysis : Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation. Knowledge of ETL Tools : Experience with ETL tools like Informatica DataStage etc. Data Governance : Understanding of data governance principles and practices.
