Role Description:
Ā This Business Analyst position reports to the Product Development BA team.
Ā The Business Analyst III is responsible for collaborating with Solution Management, Operations, Medical Management/Clinical Authoring and other various Business Stakeholders to define, analyze and document complex business problems.
Ā This collaboration enables prioritization and implementation of business initiatives. The Business Analyst will act as the subject matter expert for software applications and business knowledge.
Responsibilities:
Ā Develops strong working relationships with Business and IT stakeholders
Ā Works with business stakeholders to capture business needs and elicit requirements, while prioritizing competing business demands
Ā Partners with Enterprise Architecture and User Experience teams to deliver system design; Participates in design reviews
Ā Manages and analyzes data supplied by third party vendors
Ā Identifies Software Products' interdependencies
Ā Creates capability designs and configuration specifications
Ā Guides QA team members in creating Test Plans, Test Cases and Test Data review
Ā Supports the project team during design, development, QA and UAT testing by clarifying requirements questions in the form of both verbal and written communication
Ā Updates Client Implementation materials after release of new enhancements and capabilities
Ā Owns and maintains the Product Backlog, ensuring prioritization, resolution and implementation of defects and enhancements
Ā Analyzes complex end user needs to determine optimal means of meeting those needs.
Ā Determines specific business application software requirements to address complex business needs.
Ā Develops project plans and identifies and coordinates resources, involving those outside the unit.
Ā Works with programming staff to ensure requirements will be incorporated into system design and testing.
Ā Acts as a resource to users of the software to address questions/issues.
Ā May provide direction and guidance to team members and serves as an expert for the team.
Qualifications
Ā Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred
Ā 5-7 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst
Ā Healthcare experience a plus
Ā Experience working in Product Development
Ā Basic understanding of Information Technology and business models; Broad IT domain experience in the areas of Product Management, Application Development,
Ā Enterprise Architecture, Quality Assurance, etc.
Ā Excellent facilitation skills
Ā Excellent time management skills, including the ability to multitask across several large initiatives or projects
Ā Strong problem solving/analytic skills - Concise, yet effective, communication style
Ā Ability to align teams to drive results
Ā A focus on personal accountability and deliverables, but also Corporate objectives/outcomes
Ā Rapid learning ability and leading-edge learning style Ā Learning from all levels (not a top-down approach)
Ā Understanding of computer applications and programming.
Ā Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
Ā Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ā Knowledge of health care industry and Utilization Management preferred.
Ā Experience with CLIENT's Imasis, Provider Portal, Optinet and/or Shopper applications is a plus.
Ā Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, Jira, Snagit, Daptiv, DocuShare, and InRule
Ā Ability to travel locally between CLIENT's offices in the Chicagoland area.
