Business Analyst

AgWest Farm Credit is a member-owned financial cooperative that provides financing and related services to various agricultural sectors. They are seeking a Business Analyst I or II to assist business teams in gathering requirements, evaluating processes, and implementing solutions to meet organizational objectives.ResponsibilitiesWork with business teams to develop, clearly articulate, and document business requirements that align with intended business outcomesReceive guidance on new projects and assignmentsParticipate in business process improvement, solution design, building, and testing sessions to ensure options are fully explored and results meet expectationsAssist in researching and drafting business case recommendations (supported by cost/benefit analysis) for achieving business outcomesAssist in implementing business process and/or technical solutions that improve organizational efficiencies and customer experience across all business areasPerform post-implementation analysis to measure adoption of new processes and technologies to identify potential gaps; coordinate follow up actions with appropriate teamsParticipate in journey mapping sessions to identify personas and journeys; create professional artifacts including opportunities for management review and actionMay spend approximately 20% of time in a project management capacity to coordinate work for specific project areas or small projectsEnsure work is completed in accordance with AgWest’s project management and business analysis methodologies and meet all product development IT general control requirementsMaintain up-to-date information in project portfolio systems; generate and distribute timely reportsAssist in facilitating the Innovation Station process by obtaining additional information on requests to help determine next stepsSupport monthly calls to staff detailing changes by drafting materials and assisting with facilitation as neededOther duties as assignedSkillsBachelor's degree in business, accounting, information systems, computer science, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experienceGenerally requires at least one year of business analysis or related experience, ideally in financial institution operationsUnderstanding of business case preparation and business requirement elicitation techniquesAbility to learn and develop business analysis skills, incorporating guidance provided on new tasks and assignmentsUnderstanding of basic business analysis and project management conceptsAbility to plan, prioritize, organize and control assigned activitiesDemonstrated skills in Microsoft Office tools including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPointBenefitsMedical, dental, and vision insuranceBasic term life and AD&D insurance (fully paid for by the company)Paid days off annually: 15 vacation*, 15 sick, 12 holidays and 3 volunteer401(k) plan (6% match plus 3% employer contribution)Employee Assistance ProgramWellness ProgramJeans are welcome at work every day at AgWest!Company OverviewAgWest Farm Credit provides agricultural lender and crop insurance services to farmers, ranchers, and timber harvesters.
