Brokerage Operations Associate

The Brokerage Operations Associate will play a key role in the Operations team, managing daily brokerage operations and ensuring compliance with operational procedures and risk controls.ResponsibilitiesComplete daily brokerage operations tasks/ workflows, including cash, position, and trading reconciliations to ensure that all operational procedures and risk controls are followed, documented, and properly maintainedEnsuring the timely settlement of all trades and underlying client allocations, including resolving client and street side breaksReview and reconcile house accountsProcess trade bookings and cancel/rebillsProcess, monitor and troubleshoot ACATsEnsure accuracy of all positions, cash and broker data on firm systemsProvide ongoing user account maintenance and review of new and existing account activityMonitor and manage mandatory and/or voluntary corporate action events including dividends and interest paymentsProvide support to Legal, Compliance, Product, and Engineering teams to establish, monitor and manage key risk indicators for all functionsIdentify opportunities to improve operational processes through automationParticipate in project work, including needs assessment, to build out and scale operational and technology platforms, including QA cyclesSkills1-3 years of brokerage operations/trading experienceKnowledge of Equities trading, clearance, ACATS, and settlementMargin experience a plusTechnology-driven with a focus on the application of operational procedures and automationUnderstanding of FINRA and SEC Regulatory frameworkFINRA Series 99 requiredSeries 7, 63Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, or quantitative fieldAdvanced skills in MS ExcelIntermediate skills in SQL and VBA/MacrosSeries 57 or ability to obtain within 90 daysBenefitsComprehensive total rewards package, comprising compensation (salary and equity) and health care benefitsComplimentary subscription to Stash+ accountFlexible work policy – We offer a flexible work environment that blends working from home with in-person collaboration at our NYC office to support productivity and team culture.Flexible PTOWork-from-home equipment stipends; home internet subsidyPaid Parental Leave (offerings for birth giving and non-birth giving parents)Primary & SecondaryEnhanced health and wellness benefits through One Medical, Gympass, and Maven HealthCompany OverviewStash develops a personal finance application to combine banking, investing, and advice into one platform.
