Grainger is hiring for Branch Sales Associate, Bilingual
As a Branch Sales Associate at Grainger, you will be the primary point of contact for walk-in customers, utilizing your expertise and a positive attitude to deliver exceptional service. You will maximize sales opportunities, foster customer loyalty, and ensure a seamless experience from product selection to order fulfillment. This role involves both customer-facing duties and various warehouse tasks, including inventory management and merchandising. You will report directly to the Branch Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Experience Management:
Provide solutions to walk-in customers by assisting with product selection and accurate order entry.
Safely pick products and load customer vehicles, ensuring a positive and efficient experience.
Adapt communication style to effectively interact with customers via email, phone, or in-person.
Sales and Loyalty:
Identify and maximize sales opportunities while building strong customer relationships.
Encourage repeat business and customer loyalty through excellent service.
Warehouse and Inventory Tasks:
Pick, prepare, and stage will-call orders and shipping products.
Manage customer backorders and organize received stock.
Assist with merchandising and showroom replenishment to maintain product availability.
Perform regular inventory counts and ensure accurate stock levels.
Operational Duties:
Learn and operate various computer systems for customer service and warehouse management.
Conduct housekeeping tasks to maintain the branch's appearance according to Grainger standards.
Follow safety guidelines and comply with all process standards, including wearing personal protective equipment.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Prior experience in a sales or customer service role preferred.
Experience operating powered industrial equipment is beneficial.
Skills:
Bilingual in English and another language (e.g., Spanish) to effectively communicate with a diverse customer base.
Strong ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and handle heavier loads with assistance.
Flexibility to work during branch hours and adapt to varying tasks.
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent.
