Bordereaux Technician

The Bordereaux Technician role is primarily responsible for supporting the processing and reconciling of risk, claims, and premium data, collaborating with agents and internal business units to ensure data quality and compliance with deadlines.ResponsibilitiesPrepare incoming risk, claim and premium bordereaux for processing, including but not limited to translating to standard formatProvide quality assurance of risk and claims data by cleaning, filtering and running data control checks and validations using most appropriate and relevant methodsWork with agents, TPAs, vendors, underwriters, claims and finance to resolve data errors and omissions within reasonable time frames to meet the strict monthly closing schedulesRun queries as needed to identify inconsistencies in bordereaux dataPerform data reconciliation between the source files and various systems of recordAssist with development, modification, testing and distribution of existing or new reports and data calls for various internal and external business stakeholders in collaboration with the MI report developersPerform testing of enhancements and defect fixes for the bordereaux management systemAssist with onboarding risk, claims and payment templates for new contracts, through testing and collaboration with team members, underwriters, claims, business analysts and vendorsUpdate system with new catastrophe codes as neededUpdate code lists for various lookup tables and code maintenance listsAssist with other projects and tasks related to data administration and processingSkillsStrong analytical skillsSolid knowledge of various data sets pertaining to the insurance or finance industryExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAdvanced Excel knowledge and skills in other Microsoft Office products to support MI and ReportingThe ability to effectively plan and prioritize work to meet strict deadlinesThe ability to carry out data quality control, validation and linkageThe ability to produce and interpret clear graphical representations and data visualizationsAbility to handle a diverse range of priorities and tasksDelivery focused and deadline drivenExcellent attention to detailChange centric – with a focus on continuous improvementProblem-solverBenefitsHybrid workingA competitive base salaryNon-contributory 401kDiscretionary bonusInsurances including medical, dental and vision coverMany other benefits to enhance financial, physical, social and psychological healthCompany OverviewWe are Canopius, a global specialty and Property & Casualty (re)insurer with offices in the UK, the US, Bermuda, Singapore and Australia.
