Responsibilities:
As a Border Patrol Agent, you will be responsible for:
Detecting, preventing, and apprehending undocumented noncitizens and smugglers
Responding to electronic sensor alarms and interpreting physical evidence
Patrolling the international boundary and coastal waterways
Utilizing various government assets, including motor vehicles, horses, and watercraft
Preparing investigative reports and gathering evidence for criminal cases
Qualifications:
To be eligible for this position, you must:
Be a U.S. citizen
Have primary U.S. residency for at least three of the last five years
Meet the age restriction (under 40 years old, unless exempt)
Have a bachelor's degree or one year of general work experience
Pass a background investigation and medical examination
