This is a remote position.Schedule:Monday - Thursday 10-3 EST (20hrs / week)Client Timezone: Eastern Standard TimeAbout the RoleWe are looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized Bookkeeper with experience in the real estate industry and a strong ability to provide administrative support. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of bookkeeping principles, real estate operations, and executive assistance. This is a hands-on role that requires precision, discretion, and a proactive approach to supporting business operations.Key ResponsibilitiesBookkeeping & Financial ManagementMaintain accurate financial records using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Online)Reconcile bank and credit card statementsTrack income and expenses related to real estate propertiesPrepare reports, P&Ls, and balance sheets as neededEnsure timely invoicing and follow-up on accounts receivable/payableSupport with tax preparation and financial documentationReal Estate SupportAssist with property management tasks (e.g., tenant records, lease agreements)Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and tenants when necessaryMaintain listings, contracts, and compliance documentationTrack property-related expenses and ensure accurate categorizationAdministrative & Executive AssistanceManage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate travel as neededOrganize and maintain digital files and documentationPrepare reports, presentations, and correspondence on behalf of executivesRespond to emails and communications in a professional and timely mannerRequirementsQualificationsProven experience as a bookkeeper, preferably in a real estate environmentProficiency in QuickBooks (Online), Microsoft Excel, and Google WorkspaceFamiliarity with real estate transactions, contracts, and property management workflowsStrong organizational and communication skillsHigh attention to detail and ability to manage multiple prioritiesDiscretion with confidential informationComfortable working independently in a remote environmentPreferred QualificationsExperience with U.S.-based real estate operationsFamiliarity with property management software (e.g., AppFolio, Buildium)Prior experience supporting C-level executives or business ownersBenefitsPermanent work from homeImmediate hiringSteady freelance jobOriginally posted on Himalayas
