Bookkeeper/Account Manager (part-time)
Job Opportunity: Client Bookkeeper/Account Manager
Β *This is a remote opportunity, open to applicants in the Chattanooga, TN area. Bi-monthly in-person meetings with the owner are required.
Looking for a meticulous and proactive individual to join a growing fractional CFO and accounting firm as a Client Bookkeeper/Account Manager. This role is perfect for someone passionate about numbers, organization, and enhancing processes, with a desire to support entrepreneurs and small businesses in achieving financial success.
As part of the startup team, you will manage bookkeeping and client interactions while assisting the owner with workflow implementation and administrative tasks. This position offers 15-20 flexible hours per week, with opportunities to grow after 90 days. Some client-facing interaction outside of email may be required.
Responsibilities
Β Manage multiple clientsΒ books using QuickBooks Online (QBO).
Β Code transactions weekly and gather supporting documentation.
Β Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including inter-company reconciliations as needed.
Β Prepare and review monthly financial statements.
Β Process payroll and enter payroll journal entries.
Β Manage accounts receivable and collections.
Β Manage accounts payable and bill payment processing.
Β Establish and implement workflows and processes for client accounts.
Β Assist the owner with client meeting preparation, follow-ups, and communication.
Β Perform various administrative duties as requested.
Requirements
Β Strong understanding of accounting principles (debits/credits, journal entries, financial statements, and the accounting cycle).
Β At least 1 year of experience using QBO, Google/Microsoft Suites, and productivity tools like ClickUp, Dropbox, and Zoom.
Β Familiarity with payroll and accounts payable processes.
Β Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
Β Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Β Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable explaining basic financial concepts to clients.
Β Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience (QBO certification is a plus).
Β Commitment to integrity, accountability, transparency, and respect.

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
