Work Location: Florida/Remote VISA: US Citizen Skills: american board of medical specialities, health insurance industry, medicare/medicaid, conduct primary reviews, spanish speaking/reading Preferred: N/A Certification: N/A Job Description: MUST be in Florida Seeking a Board certified Doctor of Medicine or a Doctor of Osteopathy in specialty recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties. Three years minimum work experience in the health insurance industry, extensive knowledge of the Medicare and Medicaid programs. Peer reviewer will serve as a source of medical information to provide guidance or coverage determination as needed in certain claims review situations. Will conduct primary reviews or secondary level medical reviews to validate the initial findings. Statutory Requirements: Must be in-state of Florida, licensed and actively practicing. They would be expected to work off hours, nights and weekends. They do not have to live anywhere specific in Florida but have to be licensed and currently practicing in Florida. No interaction with patients.
