Biology Tutor
POSITION: Biology Tutor
COMPENSATION: $18-25/hour DOE
HOURS: Part time
QUALIFICATIONS
• Must have content knowledge through AP Biology
• Ability to teach other sciences a plus
• Must be able to develop rapport with middle school and high school students
• At least 1 year of experience teaching students between the ages of 10 and 20 strongly preferred
• minimum BA/BS
JOB SUMMARY
As a biology teaching staff member, you will work with students individually to help them learn to process new content and improve study habits. You will personally help students expand their skill set and change their habits under your guidance and instruction. You will also support innovation and creation of new content and teaching methods and stay up-to-date on techniques and resources developed by other GOALS Staff.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support students by teaching 1:1 content sessions to supplement classroom learning
• Record pertinent information about students in a timely and efficient manner
• Develop rapport with clients in middle, junior high, high school, and college
• Help foster a fun and interactive environment to make learning a rewarding experience for students
• Diagnose areas of learning difficulty and assign appropriate work to see improvement
• Schedule and manage a caseload of students
