Bioinformatics & Computational Biology Research Mentor (Freelance - Remote)
Position Overview
Research Decode (https://researchdecode.com/) is expanding its global network of research mentors to support students and early-career researchers working on computational and data-driven life science problems.
We are seeking experienced researchers with expertise in bioinformatics, computational biology, and quantitative biological analysis to mentor projects involving biological data interpretation, modeling, and computational research workflows.
Core Responsibilities
Guide researchers in computational analysis of biological datasets
Assist with genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and multi-omics analysis
Provide mentorship on bioinformatics pipelines and data interpretation
Support statistical modeling and machine learning approaches in biology
Help researchers prepare manuscripts and research documentation
Provide critical feedback to improve research quality and reproducibility
Qualifications
PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Systems Biology, or related fields
Experience working with biological datasets and computational pipelines
Strong understanding of statistical analysis and data-driven research
Publication record in peer-reviewed journals
Prior mentoring or supervision experience preferred
