BIM Specialists
The goal of the EM Duggan Inc. BIM Specialist is to create and upkeep AutoCAD and Revit Backgrounds as well as provide production support. The BIM Specialist will carry out tasks related but not limited to: Revit model and family creation and upkeep in accordance with EMD standards. Cleaning and updating of Revit trade and construction files in accordance with EMD standards. Creation of Navisworks models as well as executing clash tests for each job as needed. Job directory creation and upkeep. Provide QA and QC on all trades. Work with other BIM team members to ensure the quality of the product the EMD is putting out. Aid others in the department with related tasks as needed. Create documentation on workflow and project standards. Develop a deeper knowledge of each trade and learn the different aspects of each position you will be working alongside at EM Duggan. Develop a deeper knowledge of Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks in order to progress with EMD and provide further support to the trades. The ideal candidate:
Has a fundamental understanding of the construction process and/or experience in the trades. Has experience in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, (Other MEP fabrication software is a bonus). Is a self starter and works well both in a team, as well as by themselves, on specific tasks for extended periods of time. Is someone that wants to learn and improve their knowledge in all areas of BIM as well as construction, pipe design, and fabrication. Is a tinkerer who enjoys coming up with new solutions to old problems Knowledge of C#, python, or any other programming language is a big plus.
