About the role
Ares Technology Consultants is offering a short-term BIM Shadow Internship designed for individuals interested in exploring a career in Building Information Modeling (BIM).
This program provides hands-on exposure through observation, mentorship, and guided learning, allowing participants to gain insight into real-world BIM workflows in a mission-critical data center environment.
Program Overview
This is an educational, observational internship where the intern will:
Shadow BIM professionals during day-to-day activities
Observe coordination meetings, model reviews, and workflows
Learn how BIM integrates with engineering and project delivery
Gain exposure to tools and processes used in BIM environments
Participate in discussions and Q&A with team members
This role is designed for learning and career exploration only and does not involve production work.
Important Note
This is an unpaid internship intended solely for educational purposes.
The intern will not perform project work, contribute to deliverables, or replace employees.
What You’ll Learn
Fundamentals of BIM and its role in data center design
Overview of tools such as Revit and coordination platforms
How teams collaborate across disciplines
Typical workflows in a BIM-driven environment
Career paths within BIM and engineering support functions
Qualifications
Interest in BIM, engineering, construction, or related fields
Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant program (preferred, not required)
Strong curiosity and willingness to learn
Ability to observe, ask questions, and engage in discussions
Program Structure
Mentorship from a designated BIM team member
Structured weekly exposure to different aspects of BIM
Observational and educational in nature
No expectation of employment at the conclusion of the program
