About the position

As a Billing Analyst II with BCBSWY, you are critical to ensuring that all of our members and clients receive high quality customer service. This could include providing up-to-date and accurate invoices, verifying that payments are applied correctly and answering any billing questions that may arise. Accountabilities include meeting performance measures, ensuring the billing processes are accurate and timely, reviewing accounts and resolving any discrepancies, and responding to questions or inquiries that come from other departments. Responsibilities
• Provide up-to-date and accurate invoices to members and clients.

• Verify that payments are applied correctly.

• Answer billing questions that may arise from members or clients.

• Meet performance measures related to billing processes.

• Ensure billing processes are accurate and timely.
,
• Review accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
,
• Respond to questions or inquiries from other departments.

Requirements
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
,
• Associates degree in business, management, finance or marketing preferred.
,
• Two or more years of applicable work experience, typically in billing or health care.
,
• Prior experience with accessing multiple database systems is helpful.

Nice-to-haves
• Experience in customer service within the healthcare industry.
,
• Familiarity with billing software and systems.
