In this role, you'll be the primary point of contact for AbeBooks merchants, providing top-notch support via email and phone. About the Role As a Customer Support Associate, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the satisfaction of our merchants. You'll work closely with them to resolve issues related to inventory, order management, tax and compliance, and account maintenance. Your expertise and prompt support will directly impact the AbeBooks customer experience. Key Responsibilities Provide timely and efficient support to AbeBooks merchants via email and phone. Assist merchants with technical issues related to inventory and order management, escalating complex issues through the proper channels. Offer sales tax, VAT, and compliance support to merchants. Meet and maintain exceptional performance metrics, including quality, productivity, and first contact resolution. Proactively seek solutions using critical thinking and data analysis skills, identifying trends and opportunities for process improvements. A Day in the Life As a Customer Support Associate, you'll be working in a fast-paced environment, interacting with merchants, and resolving issues efficiently. You'll have the opportunity to develop your skills in: Providing exceptional customer service via email and phone. Troubleshooting technical issues related to inventory and order management. Analyzing data to identify trends and opportunities for process improvements. Collaborating with internal teams to resolve complex issues. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need: A Bachelor's degree in any discipline. B2 or above proficiency in both written and verbal communication in Spanish and English. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with a diverse range of customer personas. At least 1 year of experience in a frontline, customer-facing role, handling email, voice, or message board interactions. Experience in a technical support process for web-enabled software products or services. Strong prioritization and time management skills. Preferred Qualifications To stand out from the competition, you'll ideally have: Experience troubleshooting technical systems with customers. Knowledge of database tools. Experience in training, mentoring, or coaching. Proficiency in multiple languages (German, Spanish, French, or Italian).
