Business Intelligence Developer I Pay Range: $48/hour to $52/hour Overview We are seeking a Business Intelligence Developer I to join an Information Services team supporting multiple departments through data-driven insights. Under the guidance of department leadership and senior developers, this role will help design, develop, test, and implement business intelligence solutions, with a strong focus on dashboards and reporting. This position will act as a subject matter expert for dashboard development, ensuring data integrity, system security, and effective data extraction, transformation, and analysis. The ideal candidate can quickly ramp up with minimal supervision and has experience working with healthcare-related data and reporting systems. Key Responsibilities Dashboard Development • Follow SDLC methodology to design, test, and deploy enterprise dashboards in a timely manner • Create mock-up data visualizations prior to dashboard development Documentation • Prepare and maintain functional and technical documentation (e.g., Functional Requirements Documents) • Document design specifications based on user needs and gap analysis Reporting & Data Analysis • Develop ad-hoc and scheduled reports, as well as data extracts for downstream use • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of reporting data Priority & Workload Management • Manage multiple concurrent assignments, priorities, and deadlines • Work independently while collaborating across technical and non-technical teams Customer Service & Stakeholder Support • Respond to questions, enhancement requests, and support tickets professionally and efficiently • Communicate effectively with internal users, vendors, and IS peers • Maintain a customer-focused, solution-oriented approach Qualifications Education • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field • OR 5 years of relevant business or information technology experience in lieu of a degree Experience • Minimum 2 years of experience in BI reporting and dashboard design, implementation, maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting • At least 6 months of hands-on experience with Power BI and Tableau • Strong SQL experience (MS SQL Server, Oracle, Cerner-related databases) • Required experience with Cerner data and reporting • Hands-on experience with database services and BI tools • Experience working with RDBMS; exposure to Hadoop is a plus Skills & Competencies • Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve increasingly complex technical or operational problems • Experience with system design, capacity planning, and capacity management • Ability to assess feasibility, time requirements, and technical options for system changes • Excellent communication skills with the ability to bridge technical and cross-functional stakeholders Apply tot his job
