Overview:
Direct Counsel is representing an Am Law 100 firm with an exciting full-time opportunity for a Banking / Structured Finance / Restructuring Associate in either its New York or Charlotte office. This is a dynamic practice group offering access to high-caliber work involving a diverse client base ranging from financial institutions to major corporations.
Responsibilities:
• Represent banks and other financial institutions in Structured Finance transactions.
• Provide counsel on ABS (Asset-Backed Securities) and CLO (Collateralized Loan Obligations) matters.
• Work on complex project finance transactions and loan agency matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate financial transaction documents.
• Collaborate with partners and clients on strategic deal execution.
• Maintain high-quality client service and meet demanding deadlines.
Qualifications:
• 2–5 years of experience in banking, structured finance, and/or restructuring.
• Proven experience working on ABS, CLOs, and project finance transactions.
• Strong academic credentials and excellent written/verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail and efficiency.
• New York Bar admission required.
Compensation:
• Expected salary range: $225,000 – $235,000 per year.
• Salary is commensurate with experience, education, and geographic location.
