Backfill - Senior Oracle Database Administration - Remote Work
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to support and optimize enterprise-level Oracle database environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in database tuning, high availability, and cloud migration, particularly with AWS and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
Role: Oracle Database Administrator
Location: Remote
Duration: 12+ Months
Key Responsibilities
ā¢ Perform core Oracle Database Administration tasks including user creation and role management.
ā¢ Conduct advanced performance tuning, especially in Exadata environments.
ā¢ Lead AWS migration efforts from on-prem Oracle databases.
ā¢ Setup and manage Real Application Clusters (RAC) and Data Guard for high availability and disaster recovery.
ā¢ Execute re-domaining of databases in clustered environments (e.g., migrating from companyabc.com to companyxyz.com).
ā¢ Utilize Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for monitoring and performance management.
ā¢ Work with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) for cloud-based deployments and operations.
ā¢ Implement and manage Oracle GoldenGate for real-time data replication.
ā¢ (Bonus) Support or administer Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS).
Preferred Qualifications:
ā¢ 8+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle database administration.
ā¢ Proven experience with Oracle 18c or newer versions.
ā¢ Proven experience with Exadata, RAC, Data Guard and GoldenGate
ā¢ Strong understanding of cloud migration strategies, especially to AWS and OCI.
ā¢ Experience with re-domaining processes in enterprise environments.
ā¢ Familiarity with IICS administration is a plus.
ā¢ Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
