Backend & Integration Developer (Remote, Contract)
We're looking for a backend-focused developer to support our Lead Developer in building and maintaining data integrations and backend services. This is a hands-on role for a generalist who prefers vanilla code over heavy frameworks. You'll spend your time moving data between systems, writing SQL, and building lightweight workers. What You'll Work With • Infrastructure Cloudflare Workers/Pages, cron scripts • Database Supabase (PostgreSQL), Airtable • Languages Vanilla JS, PHP, HTML, CSS • Legacy systems WordPress/WooCommerce (sysadmin side), Shopify (backend API) What You'll Do • Build and maintain integrations between Shopify, WooCommerce, Airtable, and Supabase • Develop lightweight backend services on Cloudflare Workers • Approach projects database-first — structure before UI • Handle basic UI tasks using minimal frameworks on Cloudflare Pages/Workers • Monitor cron scripts and troubleshoot data flow issues • General data maintenance across Airtable and spreadsheets What You Bring • Comfort working in a terminal (SSH/CLI) • Solid understanding of SQL and relational database design • Clean Vanilla JS and PHP • Experience with API-based integrations (Shopify and WooCommerce preferred) Details • Remote, work from anywhere • Contract / 1099 Pay $45.00 - $75.00 per hour Work Location Remote Apply To this Job
