BACKEND GAME DEVELOPER

KIXEYE is looking for skilled, resourceful and enthusiastic backend game engineers to join our teams working on our genre defining MMORTS games. Released over a decade ago, War Commander and Battle Pirates continue to be leaders in the MMORTS space, bringing complex strategy gameplay to thousands of dedicated players.As a backend developer on our live games, you’ll be working on performance-critical systems that power real-time multiplayer interactions, game state persistence, combat resolution, and live events. You'll have a major impact on scaling, reliability, and feature velocity. Full-stack development experience is welcome—but we’re especially looking for developers with a passion for backend architecture, data-driven gameplay systems, and server-side optimization. Our technology stacks include PHP, C++, Scala, and Haxe, and use a variety of database technologies such as SQL, Mongo and Redis. As a live ops game with a large audience, comprehensive devops skills are an asset as well. We're looking for excellence in software engineering, superior communication skills, and a great attitude for working in a team of highly talented people.
