Backend Engineer (Remote)
Description
We are seeking a self-disciplined and experienced backend developer to join our team. This is a remote position, so you can work from anywhere.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Develop and maintain backend systems to support our web and mobile applications
ā¢ Collaborate with the Software Engineering team to write clean, efficient, scalable, and maintainable code
ā¢ Participate in team meetings and provide constructive feedback to teammates
Requirements
ā¢ 5+ years of experience with backend development
ā¢ Proven work experience as a developer with Node.js
ā¢ Proficient in Javascript and SQL
ā¢ Experience with developing, operating, and monitoring cloud solutions
ā¢ Good understanding of industry practices: architectures, protocols, containers, security
ā¢ Experience with AWS, Docker, k8s and terraform
ā¢ Practical knowledge on proper source code management, documentation, test pipelines, and CI/CD
ā¢ Experience with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL
ā¢ Great understanding of security best practices
ā¢ Familiarity with version control systems (Git)
ā¢ Ability to work independently and as part of a team
ā¢ Ability to manage time effectively to meet deadlines
ā¢ Authorized to work in the USA
