Backend Engineer
*Authorized to work remotely within +/- 1-2 hours of Amsterdam time zoneAbout the Role: We are seeking an experienced Backend Engineer to join our fast-growing, AI-driven technology company. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining our core web application, which is primarily built on Laravel (80% backend focus) with React.js on the frontend.Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and deploy new features and functionality for our web platformCollaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality, user-centric solutionsLeverage AI and automation tools to improve debugging and development workflowsCommunicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersMentor and guide junior developers on best practicesRequired Qualifications:5+ years of full-stack web development experienceProficient in PHP, Laravel, and React.jsStrong understanding of RESTful APIs, database design, and software architectureAbility to write clean, maintainable, and scalable codeExperience working in an Agile/Scrum development environmentExcellent communication and collaboration skillsPreferred Qualifications:Experience with AI/ML tools and techniquesFamiliarity with Coursera or similar code automation platformsBackground in product-focused software development
