The client is on a mission to revolutionize the promotional product blank apparel industry by combining cutting-edge technology with exceptional customer service and fastest-in-class delivery.About the RoleAs a Backend Developer, you will work closely with the North American product team to build and enhance web applications using Ruby on Rails. You will be responsible for developing scalable, high-performance solutions, contributing to the entire development lifecycle, and ensuring the quality and maintainability of the codebase.You will:✔ Design and develop robust, scalable, and secure applications✔ Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code✔ Build and optimize back-end APIs with Ruby on Rails✔ Perform code reviews and ensure best practices are followed✔ Write and maintain technical documentation✔ Troubleshoot production issues and optimize performance✔ Ensure sufficient test coverage and write unit/integration tests✔ Collaborate with designers, product managers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality solutionsWhat We’re Looking ForTechnical Expertise:4+ years of experience as a Backend DeveloperProficiency in Ruby on Rails for API developmentExperience working with CSS preprocessors (SASS)Familiarity with server-side templating languages (ERB, HAML)Experience integrating RESTful APIsStrong understanding of Git for version controlKnowledge of database management (PostgreSQL, MySQL)Experience with testing frameworks (RSpec, Jest, Cypress)Familiarity with agile methodologies and tools like JIRAExperience with CI/CD pipelines is a plusExperience in US startup environmentExperience in e-commerce is a plus!Soft Skills Mindset:Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote settingStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailPassion for clean code and best practicesWillingness to learn, adapt, and stay updated with industry trendsAbout RYZ Labs:RYZ Labs is a startup studio built in 2021 by two lifelong entrepreneurs.
