Position: Backend Developer (Elixir) / 4 hours ago Location: Town of Poland Key Responsibilities: Backend Developer (Elixir/ATS) • Develop Scalable ATS Solutions: Contribute to building reliable, scalable solutions for Tellent Recruitee, our core Applicant Tracking System (ATS) used globally. • Feature Development & Modernization: Balance creating new customer capabilities with modernizing the existing codebase to enhance performance and maintainability. • Influence System Design: Participate in technical discussions, aligning system design with business goals, and influencing solution architecture. • Feature Ownership: Take responsibility for delivered features, ensuring high quality, thorough testing, and adherence to standards, supported by senior teammates on architectural decisions. • Maintenance and Stability: Ensure a stable user experience by identifying and fixing bugs and maintaining existing applications. • Collaborative Programming: Engage in regular pair programming and real-time problem solving to foster knowledge sharing and teamwork. Required Skills & Experience • Backend Development Expertise: Proven experience in Elixir programming, OR strong commercial experience in Ruby on Rails, Python, Java, or PHP, coupled with a motivation to transition to the Elixir stack. • Scalable System Design: Demonstrated experience building scalable applications and solid knowledge of databases (Postgre SQL preferred). • Tooling Knowledge: General knowledge of Elastic Search and Rabbit MQ. • Problem Solving & Quality Focus: Strong debugging skills and a pragmatic approach to application maintenance, emphasizing quality and error-free solutions. • Product Thinking: Ability to evaluate technical tradeoffs and think critically about user problems, moving beyond simple specification implementation. • Language Proficiency: Good command of Polish and at least intermediate English (B2) for effective technical discussions and documentation.
