Backend Data Platform Engineer
We're partnering with a leading data-driven company, to find a talented Backend Data Platform Engineer. This role is based remotely and is a temporary position supporting a team dedicated to building scalable backend systems for high-volume data processing and AI integration.
*Backend Data Platform Engineer Responsibilities:*
* Develop and sustain backend services for critical data applications.
* Design and incorporate AI features to improve data quality and observability.
* Create new tools that promote best practices for AI development across the organization.
* Build infrastructure that democratizes data access and enhances usage throughout the company.
* Collaborate with teammates, stakeholders, and leaders to scale systems and improve reliability.
*Backend Data Platform Engineer Qualifications:*
* 3-5 years of experience as a backend engineer, especially with large-scale data pipelines or platform engineering.
* Proficiency in Java or similar object-oriented programming languages, with solid understanding of systems design and data structures.
* Ability to interpret user workflows and develop tools to improve data quality and reliability.
* Experience working directly with stakeholders, including writing technical documentation and designing API contracts.
* Strong commitment to code quality, testing, and maintainability, with a proactive approach to ownership and problem-solving.
