Back Order Expeditor
About the position The Back Order Specialist will support planner/schedulers by expediting non-stock and stock backorders, ensuring adequate inventory levels to meet distributor requirements. This role involves identifying supplier deficiencies and recommending improvements, achieving supplier performance metrics, and managing a proportional share of the premium freight budget. Additionally, the specialist will collaborate with planners to ensure proactive coverage of expected requirements, including demand, kits, and firm future orders. Responsibilities • Support planner/schedulers in expediting non-stock and stock backorders. • Ensure adequate inventory levels to meet distributor requirements. • Identify supplier deficiencies and recommend actions for improvement. • Achieve supplier performance metrics. • Make fact-based decisions on supplier overtime. • Manage a proportional share of the premium freight budget. • Collaborate with planners to ensure proactive coverage of expected requirements, including demand, kits, and firm future orders. • Procure and expedite the delivery of parts to support expected demand and replenishment requirements. Requirements • Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite. • Previous experience with SAP/ERP systems. • Good attendance and job tenure. • Experience in purchasing, logistics, and procurement. Nice-to-haves • Experience with supply chain and asset inventory management. • Data entry skills. • Administrative support experience.
