B2B Sales Development Representative

This is a remote position.Full-time (40 hours a week)Mon–Fri, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM MDT (0.5-hour unpaid break) Job OverviewThis is an exceptional opportunity to own the complete sales cycle from initial outreach through deal closure while building meaningful relationships with Calgary business owners. You’ll be working with warm leads generated through targeted direct mail campaigns, focusing on relationship development rather than cold calling. This role combines the strategic thinking of business development with the execution skills of sales closing, offering significant autonomy and direct impact on company growth. You’ll have the chance to provide strategic input on business development approaches while working with diverse local businesses in a proven, profitable market. The position offers excellent growth potential with opportunities to expand into customer service, trade shows, and business mixer coordination as the company continues to evolve.​ResponsibilitiesConduct strategic follow-up phone calls to business owners who have received direct mail letters from company leadershipBuild and nurture long-term relationships with prospects through regular touchpoints and consultative conversationsGenerate qualified appointments through relationship-based outreach rather than high-volume cold callingClose sales deals through professional zoom presentations, typically requiring 1-2 meetings per prospectManage the complete sales cycle from initial contact through contract signing and onboardingProvide strategic feedback and recommendations on business development timing and approachesWork systematically through a targeted list of 2,000 Calgary-area companies across specific business categoriesCycle back through prospect database regularly to maintain ongoing relationships and identify new opportunitiesCoordinate appointment scheduling, rescheduling, and comprehensive follow-up activitiesTake initiative in developing innovative approaches for prospect engagement and relationship buildingAssess personality fit of prospects to ensure long-term success within the trade exchange networkRequirements3-5 years of proven sales development or B2B sales experience with demonstrated closing abilityStrong relationship-building and communication skills with business owners and decision makersExperience managing both appointment setting and sales closing responsibilitiesAbility to work independently with minimal supervision while taking strategic initiativeComfortable with phone-based outreach and professional zoom meeting presentationsUnderstanding of longer sales cycles and relationship-based selling methodologiesProfessional maturity and personality to deliver exceptional customer experiencesAbility to conduct consultative conversations that go beyond scripted approachesExperience working with business owners and C-level decision makersFamiliarity with Calgary business community preferred but not requiredSelf-motivated with ability to manage cyclical prospect outreach and relationship maintenanceCommission-driven mindset with interest in performance-based compensation opportunitiesIndependent Contractor PerksCommissions when quota is reachedHMO Coverage in eligible locationsPermanent work from homeImmediate hiringZR_25404_JOBOriginally posted on Himalayas
