Job Description
Our fully remote client is seeking an Azure Red Hat OpenShift (ARO) Engineer to support ARO administration and partner closely with application teams on onboarding and platform operations.
Position Description
Manage and administer Azure Red Hat OpenShift (ARO) clusters
Support application onboarding and collaborate closely with Leo and application teams
Configure, maintain, and optimize ARO environments for reliability and performance
Deploy and manage containerized applications using OpenShift Operators
Integrate ARO with Azure networking, monitoring, and logging services
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows
Implement RBAC, containerâsecurity tools, and compliance controls
Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve platform issues using Prometheus, Grafana, and Azure Log Analytics
Document operational processes and collaborate across engineering teams
Required Skills
5+ years managing Kubernetes environments
3+ years with Azure Red Hat OpenShift or OpenShift Container Platform
Strong handsâon experience with Docker and Kubernetes
Azure cloud experience (networking, resource management, monitoring)
CI/CD, IaC, and GitOps experience
Handsâon experience with Helm, Kustomize, ArgoCD, and GitLab
Scripting in Bash, Python, or PowerShell
Bonus Skills
Experience with Istio or Linkerd
Hybridâcloud and networking knowledge
Experience with Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Prometheus, or Grafana
Strong debugging and problemâsolving skills
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to work in fastâpaced, collaborative environments
Interest in learning new tools and improving processes
