Azure DevOps Lead Engineer

Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled Azure DevOps Lead Engineer to drive DevOps transformation initiatives across Azure and multi-cloud environments. The ideal candidate will design and implement CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, and containerization solutions. This role involves setting DevOps strategy, implementing GitOps practices, and mentoring engineering teams to ensure secure, scalable, and efficient delivery pipelines.
Key Responsibilities


Define and execute enterprise-level DevOps strategy and automation frameworks.


Architect and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI/CD.


Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, ARM, or Bicep for scalable cloud infrastructure.


Lead Kubernetes (AKS) design, deployment, and management with GitOps tools (ArgoCD/Flux CD).


Integrate DevSecOps practicessecurity scanning, compliance automation, and secrets management.


Drive monitoring and observability using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Prometheus.


Lead automation initiatives for deployments, incident response, and FinOps optimization.


Mentor DevOps teams and collaborate with stakeholders to align DevOps capabilities with business goals.


Qualifications


7+ years in DevOps or platform engineering, including 4+ years in Azure DevOps environments.


Bachelors in Computer Science, IT, or related field.


Mandatory certifications:


AZ-204 (Azure Developer Associate)


AZ-400 (Azure DevOps Engineer Expert)


Terraform Associate


CKA or CKAD (Kubernetes certification)




Strong hands-on experience in:


CI/CD (Azure DevOps, GitHub, Jenkins)


IaC (Terraform, ARM/Bicep)


Containers & AKS


PowerShell/Python scripting


Monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, Grafana, Prometheus)




Preferred Skills


Advanced Azure or Kubernetes certifications (CKS, Architect Expert).


Experience in GitOps, serverless automation, FinOps, and SRE practices.


Knowledge of policy-as-code, cost optimization, and compliance automation.


Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.
