SkyTechnologies LLC Ability to Obtain Public Trust Clearance Required Compensation: Competitive and aligned with senior AWS Architect market rates SkyTechnologies is seeking a highly experienced AWS Architect to lead our cloud modernization, migration, and architecture strategy Responsibilities • Architect scalable, resilient, secure AWS solutions across compute, networking, and storage • Design VPC architectures including private/public subnets, NAT, routing, and network security • Implement serverless architectures using Lambda, API Gateway, SNS, SQS, EventBridge • Build CI/CD automation using Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK • Maintain cloud governance including IAM roles, policies, KMS encryption, and secrets management • Design monitoring and observability using CloudWatch, CloudTrail, X-Ray, AWS health dashboards • Perform cloud cost optimization and workload right-sizing • Lead cloud migration strategies and modernization patterns: replatforming, refactoring, containerization • Troubleshoot and optimize distributed, cloud-native applications Application & Data Responsibilities • Develop and maintain Lambda functions in Python or Java • Lead database migration from on-premise to AWS, including Oracle → PostgreSQL conversion • Work with AWS messaging systems (SQS, SNS) and storage (S3) • Implement automated monitoring, alerting, and tracing • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to ensure architecture aligns with business needs Qualifications • A master's degree in a related field and 10+ years of overall engineering/architecture experience OR a bachelor's degree in a related field and 14+ years of overall engineering/architecture experience • 5+ years hands-on AWS architecture and development • Strong experience with Lambda development in Python or Java • Proven expertise migrating enterprise databases • Must be able to obtain and clear Public Trust Clearance Position Highlights • Full-time, Remote • Competitive compensation + benefits • Opportunity to lead critical cloud modernization initiatives Pay: $155,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year Benefits: • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Paid time off • Vision insurance Work Location: Remote Apply tot his job
