We are looking for a AWS Solution Architect who is excellent at engaging in technical discussions and can lead by example, spreading their knowledge and working as a part of our team of architects to design, build and deliver solutions on AWS. Key Responsibilities β’ Work closely with clients to understand their business requirements and design customised solutions using AWS services and technologies. β’ Design, implement, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure AWS solutions, utilising best practices and industry standards. β’ Work with DevOps teams to implement automation, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code, using tools such as CloudFormation and Terraform. β’ Ensure solutions are optimised for performance, availability, and cost, and provide recommendations for cost optimisation and resource utilisation. β’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, operations, security, and project managers, to ensure successful implementation and delivery of solutions. β’ Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members, and participate in knowledge-sharing and training initiatives. β’ Stay current with AWS technologies, best practices, and industry trends, and provide thought leadership and guidance to clients and internal teams. β’ Develop and maintain documentation, including architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and operational procedures. β’ Participate in pre-sales activities, including scoping, estimation, and proposal development, as needed. Essential Skills β’ At least 5 years of experience in designing and deploying AWS solutions, including but not limited to EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, CloudFront, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, and IAM. β’ At least 5 years technical experience with cloud technologies and/or on-premise infrastructure β’ Strong understanding of AWS architecture and services, including networking, security, storage, and compute. β’ Experience with designing and implementing highly available, fault-tolerant, and scalable solutions on AWS. β’ Strong understanding of cloud security best practices, including IAM policies, encryption, and network security. β’ Experience with DevOps tools and processes, such as CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and configuration management. β’ Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Desirables β’ AWS certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or AWS Certified Developer Associate. β’ Experience with containerisation technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes. β’ Experience with serverless technologies, such as AWS Lambda and API Gateway. β’ Experience with data analytics and big data technologies, such as AWS Redshift, EMR, and Athena. β’ Experience with automation and scripting tools, such as Python, PowerShell, and Bash. β’ Experience working within an IT Professional Services or Managed Services provider. β’ Experience working with cybersecurity vendors including the likes of Fortinet, SentinelOne, Palo Alto & CrowdStrike.
