Auto Total Loss Claims Specialist

Our client, a leading property and casualty insurance carrier, is seeking to add an Auto Total Loss Claims Specialist to their team. This individual will be instrumental in resolving claims for vehicles deemed a total loss. The role demands a meticulous approach to documenting claims and managing the salvage process, with a strong focus on optimizing cost efficiency and maximizing salvage recoveries. Your expertise in these areas will be crucial for minimizing financial losses and ensuring the seamless operation of our claims resolution process.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and document the complete process of assigned total loss claims.
• Coordinate the removal and disposition of salvage vehicles to optimize recovery values.
• Negotiate and finalize settlements for total loss and diminished value in accordance with company policies and state guidelines across various jurisdictions.
• Maintain rigorous control over total loss expenses and manage recovery efforts effectively.
• Ensure all claim actions are well-documented in the claims management system.
• Liaise with all parties involved, including claimants, policyholders, and internal teams, to facilitate a transparent and efficient claims resolution process.

Qualifications:
• 2 - 5+ years' experience in auto claims adjustment, with a deep understanding of total loss processes.
• Must have experience working directly for an Insurance Carrier as an Auto Total Loss Adjuster (Not as an Independent Adjuster)
• Experience handling total loss claims in multiple jurisdictions.
• Strong analytical skills to assess claim validity and estimate damages accurately.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements across multiple states.
• Excellent organizational skills to handle multiple claims simultaneously.
• Proficiency in claims management software and MS Office.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.

Salary & Benefits:
• $65,000 to $80,000 Annual based salary (depending on experience)
