About the position We CGI is seeking a Full Time Aurora PostgreSQL Developer to join our highly skilled team on the latest technologies. It helps the candidate to shape the career with matured agile project delivery, advanced Tech stack process. The position is open to a Hybrid working model and can be located either in Bloomfield, CT (Preferred), Raleigh, NC, Lafayette, LA, Dallas and/or Austin TX. Your future duties and responsibilities: Work in an onshore-offshore model, with 4-5 offshore developers Follow engineering best practices and take pride in it Agile Ceremonies - Participate and Contribute Applications Development - Analysis Design Development Testing Support Team Members Responsibilities • Work in an onshore-offshore model, with 4-5 offshore developers • Follow engineering best practices and take pride in it • Agile Ceremonies - Participate and Contribute • Applications Development - Analysis Design Development Testing • Support • Team Members • Design storage strategies around backup and recovery for complex database environments, physical structures, and specialized database applications • Partner with agile project teams and interact with enterprise DBAs to find solutions for projects and operational issues in existing and proposed databases • Understand and follow industry best practices and standards • Provide standardization and consistency across environments Requirements • At least 8+ years of experience in PostgreSQL Developer with: • 3+ years of PostgreSQL • 3+ years of scripting experience • Experience with both relational and non-relational DB's like DB2, Mongo, Oracle • Expert level knowledge of stored procedures, SQL, SQL queries and performance optimization • Experience with AWS • AWS certification - cloud practitioner is needed or should be ready to take in next 6-8 weeks • Experienced in performance tuning and optimization analysis, troubleshooting/best practices and procedures • Understands stored procedures, SQL, SQL queries and performance optimization • Aurora PostgreSQL Developer experience, AWS, Experience • CICD tools GIT, Jenkins, SonarQube, Checkmarx • Database Design • Performance Tunning • SQL Query writing • Exposure to AWS needed • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
