Audit Professional - Single Audit / GASB
This is a contract / consulting opportunity with a direct client of Aprip.
Location: Remote (U.S.-based with West Coast preferred))
Role Title: Audit Professional – GASB & Single Audit (Contract / Project-Based)
Contract Duration: 6 months+
Hourly Rate:
• $55 - $90/hr W2 - based on level + experience
Summary
A public accounting firm has retained a significant volume of governmental audit work and needs experienced audit professionals to support delivery now through the end of the year. This is execution-focused work with flexibility around level — the priority is capability and availability, not title.
What You’ll Own
• Support governmental audit engagements with a heavy Single Audit component; perform audit testing and documentation under Uniform Guidance / Yellow Book;
• Apply GASB standards throughout audit execution;
• Serve as in-charge or reviewer depending on experience level
• Help teams move audits from planning through issuance during peak workload.
Must-Haves
• Direct Single Audit experience (testing, compliance, in-charge, or review)
• Experience auditing under GASB standards
• Public accounting audit background;
• Ability to contribute immediately with minimal ramp-up
Nice-to-Have
• CPA or CPA candidate;
• Experience across multiple governmental or nonprofit entities;
• Prior contract or project-based audit work.
