Develop and implement strategies to expand the community archives program at the University of North Carolina, Charlotte.

Conduct research and outreach to identify potential community partners and collections that align with the university's mission of preserving and sharing underrepresented histories.

Collaborate with community members and organizations to establish relationships and partnerships for the acquisition, organization, and preservation of community archives.

Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures for managing and maintaining community archives, ensuring adherence to ethical and legal standards.

Catalog and process new acquisitions, ensuring accurate and comprehensive metadata and organization of materials.

Provide instruction and training on archival management and preservation to community partners, students, and other stakeholders.

Utilize knowledge of archival best practices to ensure the long-term preservation of community archives.

Act as a liaison between the university and community partners, promoting the community archives program and fostering positive relationships.

Contribute to the development and maintenance of digital platforms and resources for accessing and promoting community archives.

Stay current on trends and developments in the field of community archives, and make recommendations for program enhancements and improvements.

Assist with grant writing and fundraising efforts to support the growth and sustainability of the community archives program.

Collaborate with other university departments and organizations to promote the community archives program and its resources.

Serve as a representative and advocate for the community archives program at university events and conferences.

Contribute to the overall mission and goals of the university by actively participating in committees, projects, and initiatives related to community archives and diversity and inclusion.

Maintain accurate records and statistics related to community archives acquisitions, outreach efforts, and usage to inform decision-making and report on program successes.
