Athena EMR Specialist

Position Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and adaptable Athena EMR Specialist to support clinical operations across multiple workflows. This role requires proficiency with the Athena electronic medical record (EMR) platform, strong common sense, and the capacity to learn and take on advanced tasks over time.

Key Responsibilities

· Manage and triage multiple Athena inboxes across clinical teams

· Perform documentation support and workflow optimization within the EMR

· Conduct basic clinical tasks with attention to detail and contextual awareness

· Assist in prior authorization processes for high-tech imaging and pharmaceuticals

· Collaborate with providers and administrative staff to maintain timely follow-ups and task resolution

· Participate in cross-training for broader operational support functions

Qualifications

· Prior experience with Athena EMR is required

· Minimum clinical knowledge preferred; ability to interpret clinical information with sound judgment is essential

· Demonstrated problem-solving skills and task ownership

· Strong communication skills across interdisciplinary teams

· High capacity for learning and adaptation to more advanced responsibilities

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.50 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
