Aston Carter Healthcare Scheduler (Remote Local Only) in Portland, Oregon

Will be remote, but need to be local to the Portland, OR area! A large well-known Healthcare Institution is hiring Scheduler/Patient Access Specialist candidates in the Hillsboro, OR area! Job Description: • Answer telephones, make appointments, process referrals, maintain provider templates and appointment schedules, verify patient demographics and insurance coverage. • Confirm, cancel or reschedule appointments as requested. • Screen requests for emergency care & schedule according to guidelines. • Relay pertinent information regarding same day appointments to individual facilities according to established guidelines. • Initiate chart requests for forwarding to providers, for urgent need patients. • Maintain thorough knowledge of provider scheduling protocols. Qualifications: • Aiming for Healthcare/Medical experience preferred but not required • 1 to 2 years of customer service experience required; call center experience a plus • High volume of calls experience preferred • Computer savvy, and able to handle multiple screens • Epic experience is a plus • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent • *If Interested: Please apply and email Derek at Dmautz @astoncarter.com!
