Now Hiring a Controller Location: 100% Remote Job Duties: • Subject Matter Expert in operations and accounting processes and proper accounting treatment for all areas of accounting. • Manage and develop a team of experts who are able to troubleshoot and configure M3 functions to support accounting requirements • Manage project list including identifying relevant projects, gathering preliminary information on scope and requirements, ensuring deadlines are reasonable, and assigning projects to ensure workload balanced and project leader has the proper knowledge/skill to complete • Assist in system setup and configuration for all accounting related systems • Test coordination and execution for system processes impacting the accounting team • Documentation of standard operating procedures related to accounting system processes • Development and execution of system training • Monitor system usage and ensure upstream processes are executed correctly to ensure accurate accounting is recorded • Maintain system accounting rules ensuring accurate execution of accounting transaction recording • Troubleshoot system issues and drive root cause resolution • Lead process improvement activities and gain business approval for changes which result in streamlining accounting results and • reducing process execution time • Execute the setup, configuration, and testing of accounting rules. Ensure setup is consistent and in line with GAAP and CTOS requirements • Execute the setup and configuration of Legal Entity Rules • Develop approach to system issues or new system process development which do not result in accounting errors, ensure controls requirements are met and provide accurate GAAP accounting application. Configure and test in the ERP system. • Maintain auditable documentation around accounting rule maintenance • Assist Controllers with resolving issues related to accounting rule execution • Execute miscellaneous system implementation projects assigned related to all systems utilized by accounting Skills/ Qualifications: • Bachelors in Accounting or Finance • 6+ years in accounting – overall financial experience • 2+ years in management of 2 or more • Preferred CPA or master’s degree in Accounting or Finance • Independent worker • Strong knowledge of GAAP • Strong time management skills • Strong project management skills • Strong organizational skills • Strong Excel Skills • Ability to work in a fast paced, short deadline environment • Attention to detail Good to know: • One of the fastest growing companies in KC. $200 million in revenue to $1 billion in revenue in less than 5 years. • Heavy mergers and acquisition focused • They are seeking solvers and someone that wants to drive projects and progress • Hands on experience with an ERP implementation and acquisition integration If you want to learn more, please email your updated resume to Anna at anogorman@astoncarter com, along with a time that works best for you to discuss.
