Location: Remote (U.S.-based)

Type: 6-Month Contract (40 hrs/week, 9 AM–5 PM CST; some evening/weekend hours may be required with notice)

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented, tech-savvy Associate Test Developer to support a fast-paced educational content team. In this role, you’ll work across multiple databases and spreadsheets to manage and update high volumes of information with precision. You'll also lead review meetings, collaborate with content experts, and ensure all materials meet editorial standards.

This position is ideal for professionals with strong communication skills, proofreading or editing experience, and a background in education, publishing, or content development.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and update large datasets with high accuracy using Excel and internal databases

Facilitate review meetings with content experts and track revisions

Proofread and edit educational content for clarity, consistency, and correctness

Balance independent work with collaborative team tasks

Maintain clear documentation across multiple projects

Adapt to shifting priorities and project timelines as needed

Required Qualifications

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and database tools

Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills

Strong written and verbal communication

Proven ability to edit and proofread written content

Able to work independently and manage deadlines

Flexible and responsive to changes in workload or schedule

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree

Background in education, eLearning, or test development

Experience in proofreading, editing, or publishing

Teaching, tutoring, or instructional design experience

Familiarity with content review and revision tracking processes

Ideal Candidate Backgrounds

Candidates with experience in the following roles or industries may be a great fit:

Academic publishing or educational technology

Tutoring or test prep instruction

Content development or editing for educational materials

Project coordination, compliance, or other detail-focused roles

Entry-level professionals with strong academic backgrounds in English, Communications, or Education

Examples of using Excel or databases to manage complex content

Demonstrated proofreading or editing skills (editing test required)

Strong sense of accountability and ability to self-manage

Clear, confident communication in both individual and group settings
