The role involves analyzing, structuring, and executing transactions while contributing to the deal team and performing industry research and presentations.ResponsibilitiesBe a strong team member in support of business unit goals and objectivesStrong working knowledge and skills in analyzing, structuring, and executing transactions with a focus on technical analysisStrong understanding of profitability components and investment banking deal mechanicsActively participate in client planning sessionsResearch and analyze data, preparing and presenting analytical informationFocused on product transactions/executions in addition to sales originationsManaging and executing tasks encompassing comprehensive financial modeling and valuation analysesPossess a deep understanding of the financial impact of decisions on the client’s organizationPartnering with sales/product team members, responsible for performing industry research, preparing pitch, management presentations, and other written materials using analytical skillsAssociates are typically not assigned new business responsibilities and have limited/no client contactPerforms other duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities and/or activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without noticeComplies with all KeyBank policies and procedures, including without limitation, acting professionally at all times, conducting business ethically, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interests of Key’s clients and KeySkillsBachelor's Degree (preferred) OR equivalent experience (required)1+ years of investment banking experience (preferred)FINRA License S79 within 1-1/2 Yrs (required)FINRA License S63 within 1-1/2 Yrs (required)FINRA License S52 within 1-1/2 Yrs (required)Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and WordGood written and verbal communication skillsApplies investment banking principles to structure and execute public finance transactionsSupports clients with financial insights and recommendationsAssists in structuring and executing municipal and infrastructure debt dealsUnderstands financing mechanisms for public infrastructure projectsBuilds and interprets models to support deal pricing and valuationProjects financial outcomes to support client planning and transaction structuringApplies knowledge of municipal markets and public sector financing toolsPrepares and reviews financial documents and summariesInterprets financial data to support structuring and execution of dealsCollects and organizes data for internal and client-facing materialsContributes to client planning sessions with analytical insightsPrioritizes client needs and delivers tailored solutionsUnderstands how financial decisions impact broader organizational and market systems1+ years of investment banking experience (preferred)Company OverviewAt KeyBank we’ve made a promise to our clients that they will always have a champion in us.
