Associate Project Manager
NEI Electric Power Engineering is an engineering services firm dedicated to serving others and improving continually. They are seeking an Associate Project Manager to oversee electrical substation, transmission line, and renewable energy projects through development, engineering, and construction support, while managing project portfolios and ensuring client satisfaction.ResponsibilitiesReviews and manages engineering schedules, budgets, scope, and subcontractorsManages the collection, organization and filing of all project documentation, both internally and for external third-party stakeholders and project financing needsLeads project status update meetings clients, providing schedule updates, submitting, and answering, requests for information and reporting on engineering progressEnsures project quality control and customer satisfaction by reviewing and monitoring engineering deliverablesCoordinates with EPC contractors, Electric Utilities, and other clients to ensure adherence to and compliance with contract terms and delivery of contractual deliverablesManages and coordinate activities of internal teams of engineers to deliver projects on time and within project budgetsSupports permitting and jurisdictional approval processes as needed for engineering projectsManages and coordinate utility interconnection processes for construction projects and related documentation needed for project interconnection and testingOther job-related duties as assignedSkillsBachelor's degree in engineering, project management, construction management, or related field1 - 3 years industry specific project management experience is requiredFamiliarity with electrical substations, transmission lines, medium voltage collection and distribution, PV engineering, and battery storageStrong proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, CPM scheduling, and Microsoft Project or Primavera P6Superior communication and presentation skills, both written and verbalOutstanding interpersonal skills, including an ability to maintain calm and effective exchanges by all parties during stressful situationsExcellent organizational skills demonstrated by clear and effective project plans and executive level reporting that ensures timely action and decision making in time-pressured scenariosA strong written and verbal command of the English languageApplicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basisProject Management Institute PMP certification preferredBenefits100% Employer paid team member premiums for Medical, Dental, Vision, Basic Life Insurance, and Long-Term DisabilityVoluntary Life Insurance401(k) with employer matching; 100% immediate vestingAnnual & discretionary bonus programsPaid vacation and sick timeEmployer paid licensure (FE/PE), certifications, seminars, & conferencesPaid parental leaveTuition reimbursementEight (8) paid holidays including a floating holiday to use at your discretionAnnual Team BuildingHybrid work environment with remote flexibilityCareer development, training, and coaching opportunitiesPet insuranceCompany OverviewNEI provides professional expertise and design engineering services for all aspects of power systems engineering.
