Associate Pricing Actuary - D&O - Kansas City
About the position
As part of our Global Executive Risks (D&O) actuarial pricing team, you'll leverage cutting-edge data-driven techniques to execute portfolio goals. Your technical actuarial expertise and business acumen will enable you to effectively communicate analytical findings to global partners, directly influencing portfolio profitability and contributing to our Business Unit's overall performance.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Support the delivery oftquarterly profitability reviews that provide portfolio steering insights and underwriting recommendations to our FinPro underwriting leaders
ā¢ Analyze portfolios by examining diverse data sources and performing statistical analysis to derive meaningful insights
ā¢ Communicate results to wider partners including Portfolio Managers, Reserving Actuaries, and Finance departments
ā¢ Execute actuarial rate reviews to update costing parameters of in-house Swiss Re developed models
ā¢ Develop and enhance actuarial models through dedicated project work
ā¢ Coordinate thetrate monitoring process produced by the rating models and ensure feedback loops back to our profitability and planning analysis
Requirements
ā¢ Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Mathematics
ā¢ Progression through Actuarial exams
ā¢ Excellent skills in MS Excel and strong programming proficiency in R/Python or SQL
ā¢ Good quantitative aptitude ā able to understand and comprehend actuarial concepts
ā¢ Desire to learn from highly skilled industry professionals across multiple fields to grow your professional development
Nice-to-haves
ā¢ Strong communication skills and team spirit to effectively collaborate with team members
ā¢ Excellent organizational skills - ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks accordingly
